Jeffrey "Texas Jeff" William Kisner, 40, of Petersburg, Illinois, passed away surrounded by his friends and family, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. He was born December 15, 1983, to Steven Dean Kisner and Lisa McDougall Bristow in Austin, Texas.
Jeffrey owned and operated Kisner Builders and was a perfectionist at his trade. He loved to ride his motorcycle, hang out with all his friends grilling and cooking out and especially loved his dog, Bentley. He was a loving father and loved doing things for others.
Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Lisa McDougall Bristow of Petersburg; his significant other and mother of his daughter Avery, Samantha Green of Petersburg; his daughter, Avery AnnMarie Kisner; his brothers, Jason Dale (Melissa) Yager of Petersburg and Scott Harmening of Athens, Illinois; a niece, Gracie Harmening; and his aunts, Diane Kisner-Genzel, Tammy Kisner-Moulton and Sandy Kisner-Kellington.
