Anna May Fawns

Anna May Fawns nee Oschwald received her Crown of Life on Friday May 10th in Springfield, Illinois.  Born in Andrew, Illinois, on May 28, 1934, to William and Ida Oschwald, Anna May graduated from Williamsville High School in 1952.  She married George Fawns of Williamsville in 1953.  They were devoted parents to five children, Michael (Marybeth) of Sherman, Mickey Yokley (Tom), Patrick (Alicia) and Susan Butterfield (Scott) all of Williamsville, and Jody Freedlund (Kurt) of Acworth, Georgia.  A founding member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman, Anna May served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years still following several of her former students.  She was a member of Friends in Faith, serving as President, and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.  Anna May retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1993. A warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Anna May shared her faith, food (especially her “famous” cookies), and laughter, in endless quantities.  S
