Stephen G. Fricke, 66, of Petersburg entered his eternal home on Monday, May 27, 2024 after a well-fought battle with liver cancer.
Stephen was born on December 10, 1957 to Glenn and Carol Fricke of Petersburg, IL. On January 26, 1958, he became a child of God through the gift of baptism. He married his wife, Deborah Krueger, on December 30, 1989 and they went on to have two children-Katrina and Jonathan.
Stephen was a life-long member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Petersburg. He lived a life that reflected his love of his Lord, and that faith was evident until he departed this life and into eternity. He was a farmer and enjoyed raising cattle and working the land that was passed on to him by his father and grandfather. Stephen served as a volunteer firefighter for the Oakford Fire Protection District. He also worked for Sunrise Ag and Fornoff and enjoyed getting to know and serving the agricultural community through his time at those two companies.
