Martin "Pat" Patrick Davis, 82, of Tallula, Illinois, passed away June 20, 2024, in Springfield, Illinois.
Pat was born March 27, 1942, to Carl Arthur and Mary Josephine (Mahoney) Davis in Springfield, Illinois. He graduated from Tallula High School in 1960 where he was a member of the 1960 Basketball Team that won the District Championship. After high school, he earned an associate degree from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa in 1962. Pat has been a farmer his whole life; eventually becoming a successful seed dealer for Pfister, Wyffels, and AgriGold. His passion was agriculture and he invested time in its future by always supporting the County Fair and numerous 4H and FFA activities. Pat also had a special place in his heart for his community; being a prominent member of the PORTA School Board, the Regional School Board from 1987-2015, President of Tallula Kiwanis, and as the coach for Tallula Little League Teams.
