Ardelle M. Moffett, 88, of Petersburg, Illinois, passed away July 13, 2024.
Ardelle was born November 24, 1935 to Adelbert and Esther (nee Clarken) Cormaney in Webster City, Iowa.
She worked briefly as a switchboard operator, where she met her future husband, W. Leroy Moffett. They wed and moved to Macomb, Illinois, where they raised a family of 7 with 5 loving children. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb, Illinois. Ardelle was best known as a antiques dealer and collector for her whole life, where she truly found her passion. She was also previously an owner of the Herb Cottage in Oakford, Illinois.
Ardelle is survived by her children, David A. Moffett, Richard W. Moffett, Chimene Moffett-Flynn, and Garret L. Moffett; 5 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; her parents; and a son, Wesley Todd Moffett.
Cremation Rites have been accorded by Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg, Illinois. Services
