Allan Freeland, age 89, of Petersburg, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. He was born July 21, 1934 in Washington, DC, the son of Curtis and Florence Freeland. Allan married Mary Jane Nickel on September 18, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio. She preceded him in death on October 13, 2012. Mourning his passing are his children, Deborah Jean (husband Gary) Seldner of Camas, WA, Allan Phillip (wife Vickie) Freeland of Mason City, IL, Margaret Sue Freeland of Petersburg, IL, and Steven Curtis Freeland of Petersburg, IL; grandchildren, Bryon and Keri; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Hayden, Bre, Krue, Kyli, and Rylan; sister, Edith Bleything; close friend, Elmore Bruso; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also preceded in death by a grandson, Greg; and sister, Jackie Kowal, Allan owned and operated The Village Printer in Petersburg for over 25 years. He loved riding motorcycles all throughout his lif
