Karen Whitcomb, 61, passed away peacefully at St. John's Hospital with her devoted mother at her side on August 19, 2024. She was born in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Darlene and the late Ed Whitcomb.
Mourning Karen's passing is her mother, Darlene Whitcomb; her siblings, Ed (Coni) Whitcomb of Greenview, Illinois, Scott Whitcomb of Greenview, Illinois, Dan (Tricia) Whitcomb of Champaign, Illinois, Matthew (Tammy) Whitcomb of Greenview, Illinois, Melissa (Ray) Walters of Warrensburg, Missouri, Mark (Jen) Whitcomb of Tremont, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Karen enjoyed listening to music. On Karen's good days, she enjoyed her stuffed animals and baby dolls. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors and camping. Giving high-fives was a way that she liked to express her happiness.
