Phillip Eugene Yoakum, 79, of Havana, Illinois, passed away at his home on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 3:52 pm. He was born on May 15, 1945, to Marshall and Dorothy (nee Zink) Yoakum.
Phillip was very happy living at Park View Place in Havana for the past 25 years where the caretakers took excellent care of him. He loved to be outside where he enjoyed watering the flowers and tomatoes. He also enjoyed coloring pictures with markers.
Phillip is survived by his sister, Karen (husband John "Nick") Bell; a niece, Nikki Lanier; and a great niece and nephew, Alexis Lanier and Jake Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Larry Yoakum, Marshall Lee Yoakum, Barbara Wilson and Patricia Harp.
Cremation rites were accorded by Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg, Illinois. A private family graveside service will be held at Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens, Illinois, at a later date.
